We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Communications department, by helping to raise awareness and funds for The Salvation Army's work supporting the most vulnerable.
From safe houses for victims of slavery in the UK to homeless support centres with specialist detox schemes; few people know the extent to which we help thousands of vulnerable people every year. We want you to change that.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the fundraising department and media team, the Digital and Social Media Officer will use our social channels to target potential donors, engage our supporters and help us campaign. With a new website about to launch and a series of high profile campaigns planned, this is your chance to make a big difference to our brand and reputation.
The Digital and Social Media Officer will be managing the Salvation Army's website, editing and publishing new content online and supporting our digital communications output. The successful candidate will also be leading the development of our social media channels, taking an active role in planning, curating, and posting content across our platforms.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in creating, editing and producing engaging cross-platform content
- Experience with implementation of social media strategy and campaign
- Experience of writing HTML code and/or use of Drupal CMS
