Job Summary:Niddry Street Wellbeing Centre is a homeless service situated in Edinburgh's city centre. It is a progressive, forward thinking project that offers a wide range of support services including a crisis intervention, group work and a café area. The centre is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and dynamic Early Intervention Worker.
Key Responsibilities:Facilitating Group Work with the aim to improve participants health and wellbeingProviding emotional support and practical advice on housing, benefits and wellbeingSignposting to specialist services ie drug and alcohol, mental health and homeless servicesThe day to day running of café areaComplete accurate recording of support, activities and Café health & safety
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Motivation to work alongside our clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomesBuild relationships by showing compassion, respect and non-judgementAble to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army
