Cambridge Heath Salvation Army Community Church is a vibrant Christian community based in the heart of Hackney. We are looking to recruit a competent Community & Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the busy programme of community activities. You will also have the understanding and experience to work with our Corps Leaders (Church Leaders) to help shape the direction and deliver the vision of engaging with and responding to local community needs.
Key Responsibilities: As a dynamic planner and volunteer leader you will work with an established team, ensuring that the centre is a welcoming, accessible environment for all vulnerable people within the community. You will be able to demonstrate good people skills in dealing with a variety of backgrounds and cultures and excellent communications skills in developing relationships and building positive links with individuals and groups in the local area.
The successful candidate(s) will be:- An efficient administrator who can maintain accurate accounting records and is IT literate. - Able to help maximise fundraising opportunities and promote the use of the Centre to local organisations. - Enthusiastic and have a creative approach to problem solving and project development.- Able to work within the Christian ethos and charitable aims of The Salvation Army- Prepared to work flexibly on occasion to meet the needs of the Centre activities.- Experienced in working within a lively community setting
