The Redbridge Cold Weather Centre is a winter night shelter run by The Salvation Army in Ilford, providing urgently needed accommodation, food and friendship to rough sleepers during the winter. The night shelter sleeps 28 people each night. Over the last four years three hundred people have stayed in the shelter.
The success of the night shelter depends on committed volunteers who are passionate about showing hospitality and hope to rough sleepers from the local community. This winter's nightshelter runs between 3rd December 2015 and 4th March 2016
Volunteers must be willing to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army but be respectful to people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds.
