Job Summary: Hadleigh Farm Estate incorporates Hadleigh Training Centre, Hadleigh Tea Rooms, the Rare Breeds Centre and The Hub. As a shift supervisor you will be responsible for leading the successful service at the hub café and the tea rooms on a day to day basis. The post holder may move between areas within the operation depending on the needs of the operation.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise the daily service operation, leading staff, trainees, volunteers and work experience placements in offering a successful service to our customers. Supervise cash handling and till operations ensuring any variances are raised with the Catering Coordinator. Supervise food safety in line with applicable food safety standards taking into account food storage, preparation and service. Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness across all areas of the operation. Supervise effective stock management taking into account portion control, stock rotation and waste reduction. Collaborate with Catering Coordinator in order to ensure that required provisions are ordered. Assist with the delivery of the training programme by supervising trainees in line with work set. To conduct positive performance meetings with Catering Assistants and General Assistants. Ensure all catering equipment, machinery and premises are cleaned according to the cleaning schedule. Attend mandatory training and other training when required.
