Bootle Salvation Army is a growing transitional Church with a very evident and diverse ministry to the most vulnerable in our community. We are looking for a committed, practising Christian to join our Mission Team and work alongside the Corps Officer working within the Church building and within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Community Pastoral Support Worker will lead on providing pastoral, spiritual and practical support to the Hope Centre service users, English students who are Asylum seekers and families in the local community. Coordinate and undertake home visits to Hope Centre users, Asylum Seekers and families linked with the Corps providing pastoral, spiritual and practical support.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
-A recognised qualification in Christion Ministry or proven experience of pastoral/worship/preaching
-Ministry and a committed and practising Christian
-Experience of holistic ministry
-Prior experience of working with people facing multiple barriers in their lives.
