The Salvation Army Anti-Trafficking & Modern Slavery International Team are looking for a Reseach Volunteer to support on two projects. Please see the attached role description to find out more!
This role can be completed remotely with weekly supervision via Microsoft Teams.
We are flexible on a commitment, but at least 4 hours per week for a period of at least 6 months (can be more hours if you wish!)

Do you love books? Do you want to acquire new skills or make good use of your existing skills as part of a friendly, welcoming team? We’re looking for individuals to take responsibility for organising books in the charity shop. Our shop enables us to generate income to provide services and support to those in our local community that need it.
Location:
The Salvation Army, 70 Mare Street, Hackney, London, E8 4RT.
Time Commitment:
At least 1 hour per volunteering session.

Are you creative? Do you enjoy using social media? Do you want to use your existing skills to help us to raise the profile of our charity shop and to helps us to drive sales? If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’, we’d love to hear from you.
Flexible – both remote working and working from our building.
Do you enjoy meeting people? Do you enjoy being busy and active? If yes, we need volunteer van assistants to help move and deliver stock to customers. You will be working alongside a driver and helping volunteers within the shops to restock. This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded volunteers who want to help the TSA in supporting those in need.
Commitment: 2-4 hours a week - flexible

Do you have an eye for treasure? Can you show a smiling face to donors and customers, helping them to find just what it is they came in for – plus something else they didn’t know they needed?
Our shop workers receive and sort donated items, price and display items, keeping the shop looking bright, clean and easily-accessible for all.
Commitment: 2-3 hours a week.
